„While working on data science assignments my main goal is extracting meaning from and interpret data. For this I use tools and methods from statistics and machine learning as well as software engineering skills.
First I spent time in the process of collecting, cleaning, and munging data. Once I get the data into shape, I do exploratory data analysis. This includes finding patterns, building models, and algorithms - some with the intention of understanding product usage and the overall health of the product, and others to serve as prototypes that ultimately get baked back into the product. I also design experiments since it is a critical part of data-driven decision making. In my work communicating with team members, engineers, and leadership in clear language and with data visualizations is essential so that even if my clients are not immersed in the data themselves, they will understand the implications.”
